2017 Captains Meeting
December 8, 2016
RECAP
The meeting started with a review and update of the Captain’s Roster
The next order of business was the “negotiating” of the 2017 schedule.
- Lakewood noted that their course would be renovated in August so asked that all Spring matches against them be played at Lakewood.
There was a discussion and agreement about a range of topics related to the league rules: (all have been incorporated into the updated rules)
- The Playday host for the season will be responsible for all league administrative duties for that season (preliminary and final schedule, captains meeting and agenda)
- Pace of play continues to be a problem. DCC was “reamed” for slow pace. Share ideas with team like marking the scorecard at the next hole while waiting for your turn to tee -off.
- In order to be eligible for team play, you must hold Amateur status as defined by the CWGA and USGA
- In the event of a total point tie at the end of the season, the tie will be broken first by comparing the points between the teams in their head-to-head competition. Next The two teams will figure the total number of Team Matches won. The team with the most points is awarded the Championship Title. Captains need to keep the individual win/lose matches on the spreadsheets.
- With last minute (after 10pm night prior) replacement players, the captain should redo the lineup resulting in the fewest number of card and player changes, in order to limit disruption.
- Handicap index revisions need be applied to the match if they have been posted greater than 2 days prior to a match.
- If a player leaves the golf course property during a match, they are disqualified from the match.
Finally,
It was requested that CCCC send their Playday flyer to the next Playday host.
Sincerely,
Ellen Robinson
